Program description
The Graduate Certificate in Applied Communication is designed for individuals who
are highly motivated to develop applied communication skills for a professional environment.
Admission is competitive and meeting the minimum standards for admission will not
guarantee acceptance into the certificate program.
Admission process
Admission to the certificate program requires all of the following:
- A bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by agencies recognized
by Missouri State University or equivalent education from a foreign university.
- A GPA of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale for the last 60 hours of undergraduate course work or
completion of 9 credit hours of graduate course work with a minimum GPA of 3.00.
- Admission application (all materials) deadline is 35 days prior to the start of the
desired beginning semester.
- All additional University and Graduate College requirements for admission to a certificate
program.

Completion requirements
Courses must be completed with a 3.00 GPA for successful completion of certificate.
