We offer majors/options in communication studies, organizational communication, health communication, intercultural communication and diversity, rhetoric, interpersonal communication, ethical leadership, public relations, socio-political communication, and speech and theatre education. To be admitted to a communication degree program, students must complete their first two years with an overall GPA of 2.50 or higher and with at least a 2.50 in the core of fundamental courses. The department also offers a minor in communication that can complement practically any other major field.
