Follow your passion for political communication
To begin course work in the field of socio-political communication, you initially need to be admitted to Missouri State. Before completing 75 credit hours, you must also be admitted to a degree program.
Being admitted into the socio-political degree program signifies that you have completed the necessary requirements for admission and establishes the catalog year for your program. In other words, if changes are made to your major’s requirements after you have been admitted, those changes would not apply to you.
Prior to completing the 59 hours required for admission into the socio-political program, you will be a pre-major. Declaring a pre-major early allows you to be assigned a faculty advisor within the department, begin working toward completing the departmental core, properly sequence your courses and connect with the activities and opportunities offered by the communication department.
