"My research and teaching interests include interpersonal communication, intercultural communication, communication theory, and business and professional speaking. Although most of my research has been quantitative, I conduct both quantitative and qualitative research. My recent research has focused on intercultural communication and adjustment in counseling and advising interactions. Eventually, I would like to develop communication classes for the health and the helping professions, as well as seminars around such topics as cultural diversity and cross-cultural communication awareness. In addition, I am interested in conducting intercultural communication programs for individuals doing business and/or studying abroad."
