Political communication, rhetorical theory, rhetorical criticism, argumentation and debate
"I consider my specialties to be: (1) all aspects of political communication with a special interest in political opinion research, message targeting via media and mass mail; (2) rhetorical criticism; and (3) argumentation (special interests in Toulmin & Perelman). My primary research interests at present relate to applied research in contemporary political communication. I am also interested in the history of political communication and have published in that area."
